A series of three webinars is scheduled to inform on certification process and procedures to comply with the Organic Japan Agriculture Standards (or JAS).

In its ongoing efforts to help European SMEs to access the Japanese market, the EU-Japan Centre is co-organising "Export Support" (online) workshops in cooperation with the EU member organisations of Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) (https://een.ec.europa.eu/). These (online) workshops may include the following: sectorial information on export-related procedures, opportunities offered by the EU-Japan Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA) and Japanese business culture.

Import trade concessions are contained in the EPA for EU exporters of fresh and processed fruits and vegetables to Japan. As a result, EU fruit and vegetables will have since the entry into force of the Agreement an important competitive advantage on the Japanese markets.

The EPA is offering tariff concessions within 25 agri-food related Tariff Rate Quotas (TRQs). Knowledge about the functioning of these TRQs increases related export potentials.
