The largest startup conference in Japan is already looking forward to the 2026 edition.

The EU Business Hub @ Semicon Japan 2025 Business Mission, taking place from 15 - 19 December 2025, is your gateway to the forefront of innovation in Japan. Deadline for application: 12 September 2025.

June and July will be a busy period for the Trade Promotion Section of the Italian Embassy in Japan, supporting various Italian delegations attending five local trade fairs covering lifestyle, healthcare, fashion, and food sectors.

Earlier this year, the EU-Japan Centre for Industrial Cooperation welcomed 10 innovative European startups and SMEs to Tokyo during our Green Business Mission.

The EU-Japan Centre organized its first business mission in the Defence business sector in Japan with 12 EU SMEs showing their wares at DSEI Japan 2025.

The Italian Trade Promotion Section in Tokyo coordinates the participation of 19 leading pharmaceutical companies at CPhI Japan 2025, reinforcing Italy’s role as a top supplier of active pharmaceutical ingredients and cutting-edge solutions.

Italy will host the largest EU pavilion at FOODEX JAPAN 2025, featuring 190 companies, live cooking shows, and special tasting corners that showcase Italian gastronomic excellence. The event will strengthen trade relations between Italy and Japan, providing business opportunities in the food & beverage sector.

The Innovation Leaders Summit 2024 brought together 24,239 participants, including major European and Japanese corporations and startups, fostering partnerships through pitches, seminars, and 200+ startup booths. The EU-Japan Centre showcased 12 European SMEs.

The EU-Japan Centre successfully completed its onsite Space Business Mission, from 28 to 31 January. The mission was centered around the International Space Industry Exhibition, one of the largest space business exhibitions in Japan.

Italy has showcased its innovative prowess at the Innovation Leaders Summit (ILS) and is set to participate in SEMICON Japan, highlighting Italian excellence in startups and the semiconductor industry, fostering key technology collaborations, and presenting solutions vital for economic growth in both nations.

On 13-15 November 2024, four European SMEs participated in the 17th Kawasaki International Eco-Tech Fair to take part in a matchmaking event with Japanese companies and government representatives from Cambodia and the Philippines (Cebu).
