TLO stands for Technology Licensing Organization, and TODAI TLO, the only wholly-owned subsidiary of the University of Tokyo, acts as a contact point for industry to access technologies developed at the University of Tokyo.
We manage and market all of the intellectual property created at the University of Tokyo("UT"). There are more than 500 inventions reported to us from UT per year. By transferring the "knowledge" created at UT to the society through the industry, our aim is to help create "environment in which all the people of the world can live in health and safety."
Joint venture established in 1987 by the European Commission (DG GROW) and the Japanese Government (METI) for promoting all forms of industrial, trade and investment cooperation between the EU and Japan.
